In 2024, St. Francis Center Long Beach served 266 families and 1130 people. We currently do food giveaways on a monthly basis and if we can raise the money to open our facility, we would be able to provide, on a daily basis, much more support for the families living on the margins in Long Beach and the surrounding areas.
In October 2025, St. Matthews Catholic Church took over the monthly food giveaway. We are looking for other needy parishes that have food insecurity and have a facility with a freezer and refrigerator from which to distribute food. In addition, we are planning on sponsoring a free dinner for the needy in the near future.
